Bio
Wojciech Tracewski studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In the early 1980s, he was one of the pioneers of a then-emerging artistic movement known as the “Transavanguardia,” the “New Wave,” or the “New Wild Ones.” This style is characterized by strong and provocative expression, emotional intensity, and very often a “poetics of the absurd.”
